“Alessandro, I want to start my own business project but I’m unsure which industry to jump into… What do you recommend?”

I often receive this email from my readers, so I felt it would be beneficial to write a comprehensive blog post for everyone to benefit from and understand which sectors are promising and consistently profitable for starting a company.

In this blog post, I’ll present a list of evergreen business ideas derived from studying the world’s leading companies, along with guidance on how to plan your own business in these sectors.

The Elements of a Successful Business Idea

Nowadays, there’s plenty of inspiration to kickstart an innovative business.

However, the sheer number of entrepreneurial ideas might overwhelm you, leading to confusion and a sense of being stuck.

You might have wondered, “Everything has already been invented… How do I carve out my own little space in the market?”

Don’t worry, you’re not alone in thinking this.

But it’s not a reason to give up.

Sure, countless business ideas have been developed, but believe it or not, there are still many untapped opportunities.

That’s why it’s important, first and foremost, to identify only the businesses worth pursuing, discarding those that aren’t accessible for any reason.

My advice, perhaps the most important, is to start with what you know, what you’re good at, and especially what you enjoy doing (your passions).

Begin by assessing your skills, strengths, and education. This starting point is crucial because it allows you to start a business you understand well.

Jeff Bezos, during an interview at the Re: MARS conference, advised that having a passion for the field you’re entering is crucial because it helps you compete effectively and create superior products and services (source: Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos gave this advice to those considering starting their own business“).

So, as you can see, you don’t need to create something entirely new to succeed in the business world.

Great results can come from seemingly ordinary ideas and common activities, as long as they find the right positioning and target market.

All the world’s largest and wealthiest companies fall into three major categories: money, relationships, and health.

Yes, I know, I’ve repeated this millions of times in this blog.

Forgive me, but I must constantly reiterate the most important concepts.

Just as I must constantly repeat the three elements that successful businesses share: evergreen, global, and with the ability to add more and more related products and services.

So the natural question is:

“How can I find an entrepreneurial idea that meets all these requirements?”

Fortunately, the answer isn’t as complex as it might seem.

In this blog post, we’ll explore a series of entrepreneurial activities that embody these principles.

We’ll learn how to identify evergreen opportunities, understand target markets, and develop products and services that meet consumers’ enduring needs.

The Best Business to Start

Before diving into the long list of entrepreneurial ventures that align with the principles I’ve discussed so far, let me give you a very important tip.

If you’re reading this blog post, chances are you don’t want to open a physical business with an office, shop, or production building.

If that’s the case and you’re unsure about what type of business to start, seriously consider starting an information-based business (infobusiness), as it’s one of the best businesses to begin.

There’s a strong demand for information on practically any topic, and this demand will continue to grow in the coming years.

It’s human nature to seek information on everything.

It’s no coincidence that entertainment sites are the ones with the highest monthly visits.

Google and YouTube have built their billion-dollar empires on people’s search for information.

Now, how do you monetize information?

If I were a fake marketing guru, I’d teach you how to create your own course or ebook and sell it.

And do you know how I’d teach you?

By trying to sell you my course that teaches others how to create and sell courses.

Basically, an insult to people’s intelligence.

Know this before falling into this trap: unfortunately, selling courses and ebooks today, especially if you’re new to the market, is very, very challenging due to intense competition in almost every niche.

You can try, but today’s trend has shifted.

The reality is that nowadays people on the internet expect free information.

People have always associated the word “free” with the internet.

The only limit for an infobusiness is imagination.

Through the digital world, it’s truly possible to teach others anything, and the beauty is that, more or less, in any niche or micro-niche, there’s always someone looking to learn how to do that thing.

In the end, an info-entrepreneur simply teaches others how to succeed in something they’re interested in learning.

If you’re an expert in a certain field, if you’re passionate about something to the point of knowing it really well, you’re also capable of teaching it.

And if you can teach it, you know how to create an online business on that topic.

Imagine how great it would be if anyone could have access to advanced free training in any field?

If anyone could solve problems thanks to a blog post or a video of someone freely sharing their knowledge.

“But where are the profits if I give everything away for free?”

Great question.

Profits come from affiliations (affiliate marketing) and advertising, such as Google AdSense and the ads displayed by YouTube on our videos.

You can also confidently publish your books on Amazon, which will simply be a collection of your free blog posts.

If your blog posts are advanced, in-depth, and truly helpful to people, your readers will buy your books both out of gratitude and to have them as a collection on their shelf, even though they know they can read the content for free on your blog.

And this means reinvesting the earnings from book sales into promoting your blog, significantly increasing AdSense revenue.

Moreover, by freely sharing information, you’ll cultivate a dedicated audience who will eagerly return to your blog for more, boosting your AdSense earnings and driving increased book sales.

Wait, though.

I’ve described to you a wonderful and achievable situation, but don’t get me wrong: it’s not easy.

It’s not easy at all.

Otherwise, everyone would do it.

Or rather, many have tried, but let’s say that most bloggers and YouTube channels hardly earn anything.

But that’s because they’re not able to promote it properly, and that’s where I’ll help you, don’t worry.

Also, just to show you that easy things don’t exist, getting approval for monetization on YouTube is very difficult, not to mention that Google AdSense rejects 90 out of 100 sites presented to them every second.

It took me two months and three rejections to get my blog approved.

However, if we persist in creating content and genuinely providing value to our audience (without expecting anything in return), Google will eventually reward us.

To show you that I’m not lying, let me mention the example of a very famous compatriot of mine named Salvatore Aranzulla, the famous Italian blogger.

Salvatore Aranzulla
Salvatore Aranzulla.
Source: Aranzulla.it.

Salvatore doesn’t offer courses, ebooks, books, advanced masterclasses, one-to-one coaching, or other nonsense.

He doesn’t have a YouTube channel (so no earnings from videos), and his only book for sale is his autobiography, which he may have even forgotten he wrote.

Yet, every year, through his blog Aranzulla.it, he generates a Net income that exceeds 3 million euros“.

How does he do it?

The answer is simple: he helps people.

He doesn’t care about the aesthetics of the blog or giving it stunning graphic effects.

If you take a look at his blog, you’ll notice that it’s very minimal, if not quite ugly aesthetically.

But people don’t go to his blog to see something beautiful; they go there because they need to solve computer or technological problems, and Salvatore offers just that: solutions to their computer or technological problems.

Through his articles – ranging from How to turn on a computer to the proper choice and advanced setup of antivirus software – he freely shares his knowledge and experiences, simplifying the daily lives of his readers.

I often read his blog posts myself when I need to understand how a particular software program works.

So, in conclusion: if you’re not sure what kind of business to start, consider starting an information-based business.

It’s a business that can grow rapidly with great profits, capable of making millions of dollars while genuinely making a difference in people’s lives.

List of Profitable Business Ideas

As promised, below you’ll find some business ideas that include all the elements we talked about in this blog post:

  • They focus on money, success, or health.
  • They’re timeless, potentially available to a global audience, and have the potential to sell related products.
  • They can be sold throughout the year.
  • They’re resilient to various economic crises the world might face.

For each of these ideas, you can start an information business like the one I described earlier.

The income comes from four sources:

  • 1. A blog monetized with Google AdSense.
  • 2. YouTube videos monetized with Google AdSense.
  • 3. Affiliate marketing.
  • 4. Selling books on Amazon.

One thing for sure in the world is that children are born every day and every minute, no matter if you live in Asia, Africa, Oceania, Europe, or America.

Maybe even in Antarctica (I mean… Researchers must have brought along spouses, right?).

There might be global fluctuations in birth rates, but that doesn’t concern us; the numbers are so high that a decrease wouldn’t pose any problem for us.

So, if you start a business like this, who will be your potential readers/customers?

Well, obviously, new parents.

New parents are among the most engaged consumers around.

Especially now, in the silly age of influencers, new parents snap photos of their children surrounded by expensive stuff.

Nobody wants to flaunt their child; they simply want to demonstrate they can provide the best and most expensive products for them.

I don’t want to be so cynical, but I’m an entrepreneur, I know the human psyche well, and unfortunately, I know that photos of one’s children have this motivation.

Everyone wants the best for their child, whether it’s clothes, cribs, food, or toys.

Parents purchase these items every day, every hour.

Additionally – something that interests us – most parents aim to excel in raising their child to become a significant individual.

So here’s the solution: start a blog where you write posts on raising children to become exceptional adults.

Here are some content suggestions that could be published:

  • Child Development: Blog posts providing information on the physical, cognitive, and emotional development of children in various stages of their growth, from newborn to adolescence.
  • Practical Advice: Posts offering practical tips on dealing with common parenting challenges such as breastfeeding, diaper changing, baby sleep, handling crying and tantrums, etc.
  • Feeding and Nutrition: Content discussing infant feeding, from choosing between breast milk or formula for newborns to introducing solid foods, with tips on healthy foods and kid-friendly recipes.
  • Health and Wellness: Blog posts covering topics related to children’s health, such as vaccinations, common childhood illnesses, personal hygiene, and preventive care (collaborating with a well-known pediatrician to advise you on writing these blog posts would lead to an instant increase in your reputation and authority).
  • Education and Language Development: Resources that help parents understand how to foster language development in children, promoting communication and learning through games, activities, and reading.
  • Leisure Time Management: Tips on fun and creative activities to do with children, both indoors and outdoors, to stimulate creativity, imagination, and foster parent-child bonding.
  • Facing Parenting Challenges: Blog posts tackling more complex topics such as disciplinary education, managing family conflicts, balancing work and family life, and managing parental stress.
  • Emotional Development of Parents: Content recognizing the importance of parents’ emotional well-being and offering advice on managing stress, fatigue, and emotional challenges related to parenting.
  • Resources and Practical Tips: Mix your educational blog posts with Amazon product reviews for affiliate marketing (books, toys, baby gear, and other useful resources for parents, along with advice on choosing the best for their children).
  • Success Stories and Inspiration: Stories of parents who have faced similar challenges and found creative or inspired solutions to encourage and motivate other parents in their parenting journey.

Naturally, given the sensitive nature of the topic, having and showcasing your qualifications that allow you to talk about children will make a difference in such a field.

In the world of marketing, there are hundreds of scammers spouting colossal nonsense just to sell courses that contain hot air and should be reported.

Let’s not do the same thing with children.

Start such a business only if you have the legal and governmental certifications to talk about children; otherwise, forget it.

We don’t joke about children’s health.

Beauty Tips

The beauty industry is closely tied to Relationships and Social Status.

More and more, both men and women are concerned about their appearance, especially as they age.

People want to constantly feel attractive and make a positive impression on others.

As I’ve mentioned before, it’s all about social status, one of the most significant concerns in Western societies.

The truth is, a pleasing appearance can open many doors, both professionally and, of course, in social relationships.

When you look good and feel confident, your self-esteem increases.

Many people are willing to buy anything that can enhance their appearance.

Here are some content tips for your blog:

  • Daily Skincare Routine: Write detailed articles on skincare routines for both men and women, including steps like cleansing, moisturizing, and applying sunscreen.
  • Makeup Guides: Provide detailed guides on how to apply makeup professionally, including tips for daytime and evening makeup, as well as suggestions for finding the right products for each skin type.
  • Hair Styling Tips: Offer advice on haircuts suitable for different face shapes and hair textures, along with tips on how to care for hair and keep it healthy and shiny.
  • Nutrition and Beauty: Write articles highlighting the link between diet and the health of skin, hair, and nails, providing tips on which foods to favor to improve overall appearance.
  • Nail Care Tips: Provide detailed instructions on how to take care of nails, including DIY manicure and pedicure tips, as well as suggestions for keeping nails strong and healthy.
  • Fashion Guides: Offer advice on how to choose the right clothes based on body type, skin color, and occasions, along with tips on how to accessorize to complete the look.
  • Recommended Products: Write honest reviews of beauty products, including makeup, moisturizers, facial cleansers, and more, to help your readers make informed choices.
  • Video Tutorials: Create step-by-step video tutorials on various makeup techniques, hairstyles, and skincare routines for a more engaging experience for your readers.
  • Body Care Tips: Provide suggestions on how to maintain a healthy and fit body, including tips on diet, exercise, and personal hygiene.
  • Mental Well-Being Tips: Don’t forget the importance of mental well-being in overall beauty. Offer advice on how to manage stress, improve self-confidence, and practice self-care.

However, keep in mind that discussing makeup tips and remedies for stretch marks and wrinkles is acceptable and can be done by anyone.

But when it comes to providing advice on nutrition and fitness, recognized legal qualifications are required.

I know many self-proclaimed experts might have led you to believe that simply researching on YouTube can make you an expert in anything, but the truth is, if we haven’t studied academic subjects like medicine, the body, and nutrition, we have no legal qualification to provide advice as we might give advice that could harm our readers.

Nowadays, credibility is everything.

If you don’t have a medical degree, you can’t give medical or nutritional advice.

In Switzerland and many other countries, it’s a punishable offense with arrest.

In Italy, the rules are different: you can give medical advice and perform surgery without a medical degree.

We’re pretty relaxed about it.

Back to seriousness, without legal certifications, people will never trust you and are unlikely to read your articles or watch your videos.

It’s not like the old days when anyone could pretend to be a NASA engineer and talk about the Apollo 11 mission.

Today, there’s too much competition, and people want to consume information only from sources that prove to be reliable.

Clothing and Fashion Styling Consultant

Staying up-to-date with the latest fashion and style trends is an essential part of many people’s lives and is an ever-evolving industry.

Lots of folks are constantly seeking advice on how to dress, what matches with color X, and how to build a respectable wardrobe for every occasion.

If you want to start a blog and a YouTube channel sharing fashion and style tips, you won’t need specific certifications, but you must know what you’re doing and offer an original approach and viewpoint.

This is because anyone could start a blog and claim that men should wear a blue jacket, white shirt, and blue tie during important business meetings.

Firstly, you need to understand who your potential readers are, the people you feel confident in providing style and fashion advice to.

It’s essential to clearly define your target market, which could consist of women, men, young adults, seniors, or even a specific audience like professionals or sports enthusiasts.

This will determine the type of clothing you’ll recommend through affiliations.

Here are some examples of content for your fashion and style blog:

  • Fashion Trends: Discuss the latest fashion trends and how to integrate them into your wardrobe.
  • Matching Tips: Suggest creative ways to match clothing items and accessories.
  • Style Advice for Different Occasions: Offer advice on what to wear for specific events, like weddings, job interviews, dates, etc.
  • Wardrobe: Explain how to create a versatile and functional wardrobe with a few basic pieces.
  • Smart Shopping Tips: Provide tips on shopping wisely, choosing quality pieces, and making wise investments.
  • Closet Organization Hacks: Offer advice on effectively organizing your closet to maximize space and keep everything tidy.
  • Sustainable Fashion: Talk about sustainable fashion brands and practices and how to reduce environmental impact through clothing choices.
  • Garment Care Tips: Share tips for caring for clothes so they last longer and maintain their quality over time.
  • Fashion and Style Around the World: Explore cultural differences in fashion and dressing styles worldwide.
  • Personalized Styling Advice: Answer readers’ questions and offer personalized style advice based on their body type, personal style, and budget.

For the more ambitious, creating a personal brand and offering customized clothing via e-commerce isn’t a bad idea.

However, this should only be pursued after building a substantial following of readers who trust your blog posts.

One very important piece of advice (which should be followed by everyone): staying updated on trends is crucial in this industry.

Fashion is always evolving, so it’s important to stay current with the latest innovations.

Attending fashion shows, following industry magazines, and collaborating with influencers can help you stay on-trend. You’ll need to make excessive use of social media.

You should post a photo of yourself at every local or, better yet, international fashion event.

People need to see you mingling in the circles that, in their minds, you, as a fashion consultant, should frequent.

Additionally, a great idea is to comment on outfits worn by famous figures in TV shows, series, or movies.

A famous Italian entrepreneur, Chiara Ferragni, became a millionaire – before she engaged in embarrassing and unspeakable actions, exploiting donations meant for sick children, which left her bankrupt; fortunately, karma always prevails – and appeared at all the most famous Italian fashion shows, thanks to her blog The Blonde Salad, where she provided fashion and style advice.

Finance and Investments

Finance and investments offer numerous opportunities to start a profitable business.

You can reach out to those interested in managing their investments or those seeking to understand the general complexities of the economic world.

While there are already millions of blogs on the subject, none specifically target beginners, who make up the majority of those interested in finance.

Many people want to invest their money but have no idea how to start.

I’m not just talking about not knowing which stocks to invest in; I mean not even knowing which platform to trust and how to set it up.

A comprehensive blog addressing these topics would undoubtedly be successful (I’d be an avid reader):

  • Budgeting and Saving: How to create a personal budget, plan expenses, and save money. Practical tips on cutting unnecessary expenses and saving for specific goals can be provided.
  • Introduction to Financial Concepts: Basic concepts like interest, exchange rates, inflation, and financial risk are explained clearly and accessibly.
  • Debt Management: Information on responsibly managing debts, such as student loans, credit cards, and personal loans. Strategies for reducing debt and improving credit scores can be included.
  • Investments: Basic investment concepts like stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and ETFs are introduced. Explain the concepts of risk and return and offer tips on starting to invest simply and safely.
  • Retirement Planning: Illustrate the importance of retirement planning, even for young people, and provide information on how to start saving for retirement.
  • Economics Fundamentals: Offer a simple overview of economics, including concepts like supply and demand, economic cycles, and economic policies.
  • Taxes: Explain fundamental tax concepts, how they work, and the main taxes people need to pay.
  • Financial News and Market Updates: Regular updates on financial news and market trends, explaining their impact on daily life and personal financial decisions.
  • Testimonials and Case Studies: Share success stories and case studies of real people who have successfully managed their personal finances.
  • Useful Tools and Resources: Provide links to free online tools, financial calculators, and other resources to help readers better manage their finances.

Make sure to keep the language simple and avoid using overly complex technical terms, instead providing clear explanations and practical examples to facilitate understanding of the concepts.

Teaching others how to manage their money effectively is a valuable and highly sought-after service.

However, there’s a delicate aspect regarding financial information.

To embark on an entrepreneurial venture in the financial and investment sector, it’s crucial to acquire solid knowledge and skills, as well as obtain the necessary authorizations and certifications.

Presenting oneself as a professional trader or economist without the proper qualifications is illegal, and managing people’s wealth without being qualified is also illegal.

And let me tell you, presenting oneself in this way without certifications is quite ridiculous.

Remember that the financial sector is highly regulated, so conducting thorough research and consulting a legal or financial professional before venturing into this field is essential.

Physical Health and Well-being

Here’s a type of blog that could achieve global success.

Let’s start with the well-known premise that health comes first.

Among the three basic niches, health always takes the lead.

Without it, unfortunately, we can’t achieve anything.

Most people take their health seriously and strive to lead as healthy a lifestyle as possible to prevent illnesses and accidents.

The opportunities within this niche are limitless.

You can speak to those already convinced of wanting robust health and offer them insights to improve their exercises.

Similarly, you can address those who mistreat their bodies as if they were rags to clean the floors.

You must be able to explain to these people the harm they’re doing to themselves and show them all the benefits if they STOP smoking, drinking, and doing other harmful things to their bodies RIGHT NOW.

Here are some content suggestions for a medical blog:

  • General Health: Blog posts on the importance of a healthy lifestyle, including tips on balanced diet, regular exercise, sleep habits, and stress management techniques.
  • Disease Prevention: Information on preventing common illnesses through vaccinations, regular screening tests, and healthy lifestyles.
  • Pain Management: Advice on managing chronic or occasional pain through non-pharmacological therapies such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, acupuncture, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and other pain management techniques.
  • Dietary Supplements: Information on vitamin and mineral supplements, explaining their benefits, recommended dosages, and potential risks.
  • Natural Remedies: Discussion on natural remedies such as herbs, essential oils, and alternative medicine techniques to relieve pain and promote overall well-being.
  • Musculoskeletal Pain: Insights into muscle pain, joint pain, lower back pain, and other musculoskeletal conditions, along with suggestions for management and relief.
  • Common Illnesses: Information on common illnesses like cold, flu, headache, stomachache, with tips for treatment and symptom management.
  • Basic Medical Concepts: Simple explanations of fundamental medical concepts, such as how the immune system works, the difference between viruses and bacteria, the role of inflammation in the body, etc.
  • Specific Lifestyles: Advice for specific groups like elderly adults, pregnant women, children, athletes, etc., on maintaining good health and managing pain according to their unique needs.
  • Practical Tips: Practical advice on dealing with daily health-related situations, such as traveling safely, preparing healthy meals, practicing proper hand hygiene, managing workplace stress, etc.

Collaborations with industry specialists like nutritionists, physiotherapists, pediatricians, dentists, etc., can be very valuable in this business.

Interviews with these professionals are a great format for YouTube videos.

Ensure that the content is accurate, based on scientific evidence, and easily understandable for the target audience.

You might think the market is saturated, but the target audience is so vast that there’s room for everyone.

The importance of being healthy and looking good will never diminish.

However, as with other endeavors, it’s crucial to first identify your area of expertise in health and well-being.

You could be a fitness expert, nutritionist, mental health specialist, yoga instructor, meditation guide, alternative therapy practitioner, or something else.

Choosing a field where you have expertise and passion will help you offer a high-quality blog.

Very important note: Only a doctor who has obtained a medical degree and state authorization can discuss these topics.

You can’t offer medical advice if you’re not a medical professional because, aside from legal issues, it’s unlikely to inspire trust in your readers.

No one would board a plane piloted by someone with just a few hours of flight experience on Microsoft Flight Simulator, just as no one would accept health advice from someone claiming to be a doctor just because they watched a couple of YouTube videos.

When someone has a pain somewhere, for example, in a finger of a hand, and searches online for information about it, they often convince themselves that they need to write a will because they only have about two hours left to live.

It’s all part of the psychological terrorism of blogs whose sole purpose is to scare people into selling them the solution: a product, a medicine, a supplement… anything that can be found in a pharmacy at half the price.

I detest this way of working.

Using fear on people who are already scared because of the physical pain they’re experiencing is a very mean behavior.

I hate it.

Since I started this blog, I’ve tried to fight business scammers with their embarrassing courses and also those who try to leverage fear to sell their products.

It’s time to stop this modus operandi.

If you’re the doctor who wants to open this blog about physical health and well-being, you don’t have products or supplements to sell: you just want readers to come back to your blog regularly to increase AdSense ad response rates.

Consequently, unlike many blogs on the topic, you can tell the truth and provide, in addition to medical information, psychological support.

By spreading optimism.

99% of the pains people experience are temporary and can have millions of causes, none of which are fatal.

Here’s how you can provide psychological support:

“Do you have a pain in your hand? Don’t worry, 99% of the time, it’s nothing to be concerned about.”

I’m improvising, but I want you to grasp the concept.

You have a great challenge ahead of you and millions and millions of potential readers who would like to be reassured.

If you’re willing to behave ethically and honestly, your blog could have almost immediate success.

“What does a cold have to do with it?”

Here we’re talking about fever, herpes, and all the other passing viruses.

You’re a doctor, and you know very well that the only cure for a cold is to stay indoors, keep warm, and wait for it to run its course.

If someone dares to ask you, as a doctor, how to treat a cold, you might laugh in their face, but if you become an entrepreneur with your blog and your YouTube channel, you can’t laugh in the face of your readers.

You have to create blog posts that explain how to treat a cold.

It might seem silly, but the common cold is very widespread, and think about how many readers will read your post.

Millions and millions.

Of course, you have to write the truth, saying that there is no cure because “The cold is caused by viruses, which can vary greatly and mutate rapidly. This diversity makes it difficult to develop an effective cure that works for all types of cold viruses. Additionally, the cold is generally a mild and self-limiting illness, so research on a cure may not be considered a priority compared to other more serious illnesses. Instead, treatment often focuses on relieving symptoms, such as pain and nasal congestion, until the body can clear the virus on its own.”

I copied and pasted from ChatGPT, so if I wrote something stupid, I apologize.

I’m not a doctor, it’s the AI’s fault (too bad I couldn’t use this excuse when I was going to school…).

It was just to help you understand the concept.

Personal Growth

The niche of personal development has gained increasing importance in recent years, and the possibility of turning it into a business through a blog and YouTube videos is very promising, both in terms of personal satisfaction and income potential.

However, in this field, it’s also easy to start talking about wrong concepts and famous scams passed off as a cure for all problems.

Tony Robbins, Bob Proctor, Rhonda Byrne, and then their mentor, Napoleon Hill.

I don’t want to dwell on them, as I have already extensively criticized them on my blog and don’t want to give them further visibility.

I just want to point out one thing: if you decide to focus on this business, don’t position yourself as a personal growth guru spreading false hopes like the law of attraction or positive thinking, like the scammers I mentioned earlier.

If you decide to start this business, do it because you genuinely want to help people get more out of life, and to bounce back after a tough psychological blow.

Share your life experience and explain how you managed to bounce back, helping others to do the same.

A critical aspect of this business, in fact, revolves around your authenticity.

People turn to you for your unique approach and personal experiences, so be yourself and share stories and personal challenges.

This authenticity will help you establish a deeper connection with your audience and build a community of people interested in your vision.

Share the difficulties you’ve had to face and talk about how you’ve helped your readers overcome their own.

There are many valid topics to focus on for a personal growth blog without resorting to controversial or fraudulent concepts like the law of attraction or exaggerated positive thinking.

Here are some suggestions:

  • Skill Development: Provide practical advice and strategies to improve specific skills such as communication, time management, leadership, problem-solving, etc.
  • Mental and Emotional Well-Being: Explore topics such as stress management, self-compassion, resilience, overcoming negativity, maintaining a work-life balance.
  • Physical Health: Cover topics related to physical exercise, balanced diet, sleep, and general physical health management to promote overall well-being.
  • Relationship Management: Offer advice on how to build healthy and meaningful relationships, manage conflicts, improve communication, and promote collaboration.
  • Personal and Professional Development: Explore ways to identify and pursue meaningful personal and professional goals, improve productivity, self-esteem, and self-confidence.
  • Spiritual Growth: If appropriate for the target audience, explore themes of spiritual growth, connection with inner self, meditation, and mindfulness practices.
  • Creativity and Artistic Expression: Promote creativity and artistic expression as means to explore oneself, overcome challenges, and find inspiration.
  • Sustainability and Environmental Awareness: Explore the link between personal well-being and the well-being of the planet, encouraging sustainable practices and greater respect for the environment.
  • Authenticity and Self-Determination: Promote the importance of being authentic, living according to one’s values, and taking control of one’s life rather than being influenced by others’ expectations.
  • Continuous Education: Emphasize the importance of continuous learning and personal growth through reading, training, exploring new interests, and participating in learning communities.

Needless to say, as in all other entrepreneurial ventures I have advised you on and will advise you on, this last point applies especially to you.

You shouldn’t ignore the importance of continuous learning, and you should show your readers that you’re a serious professional who truly loves the topic by demonstrating that you constantly update yourself to provide the best available information online.

Post pictures of yourself on social media while attending famous courses and stay informed about the latest developments in psychology.

If you approach personal growth honestly and certified, demonstrating that you have credentials to talk about it seriously, you won’t need certifications to offer counseling in this field.

Skills to Implement Business Ideas

To start all these activities, you need both skills and, above all, certifications that authorize you to address specific topics.

Certifications vary from country to country, so I suggest consulting a legal expert to inquire whether discussing certain topics requires any certification to protect you legally and avoid future issues if a governmental body conducts an inspection.

Passing an inspection and emerging successfully because you’ve demonstrated compliance will greatly boost your business’s credibility and authority.

Facing an inspection and fines for lacking legal requirements will kill it.

Here in Italy, they shut down a scammer’s “business” every month, so I know what I’m talking about.

Once you have the legal assurances and certifications, let’s talk about the skills needed to discuss certain topics.

These skills must be quite advanced, or else you’ll end up like various Italian business gurus who face more insults on their Facebook pages than a murderer.

There are two types of skills: direct and indirect.

Follow me, and I’ll explain everything.

Direct Skills

You can’t start a real estate business if you’ve never bought or sold at least two or three houses before.

You wouldn’t know where to begin or what to talk about.

You can’t start a trading consultancy if you’ve never bought stocks.

If you’re antisocial and have no friends, you can’t start a business related to personal growth or expanding your social circle.

Always choose a business based on your knowledge or passions.

Ironically, having a passion is almost better than having a skill because skill sometimes comes by chance, while a passion is something we love doing and, being our pleasure, will always give us the right motivation to study and continuously improve on that passion.

For example, if you successfully quit smoking and discovered a pattern that could help others quit seriously, you could start a business teaching people how to quit smoking, which seems to be a hot topic.

If you’re a personal trainer with a fit physique, dedicating your life to the gym and maintaining a consistent diet, you could establish a fitness business and coach others on achieving a body similar to yours.

But never start a business in a field you don’t understand or for which you don’t have the necessary legal certifications.

People won’t trust you, and you’ll be perceived as another internet charlatan.

And the internet is full of charlatans, so please listen to me because I don’t want my clients to become charlatans.

Indirect Skills

If you don’t have the skills and certifications to start a business, there’s another way to become an entrepreneur.

It’s a challenging and demanding process, but it holds millionaire potential.

The first step in this process is to study and learn everything there is to know about marketing and effectively promoting a brand and a company in this era of the New Economy.

Social media marketing, blogs, video marketing, content marketing, advertising…

My blog can help you with this because I’ve covered all these topics and you can benefit from them completely for free.

Then, after thoroughly studying marketing, you can look for a “frontman.”

Who’s a frontman?

It’s someone who has the skills and certifications to discuss a specific topic but lacks marketing knowledge and has no problem starting a business in their name.

How do you collaborate?

Let me give you an example: Do you know someone who can train dogs but struggles to get clients?

They provide you with content and ideas on dog training, while you create and manage all the marketing infrastructure, including social media, blogs, and a YouTube channel.

Then you split the profits from AdSense, book sales, and affiliate marketing earnings: You keep 60% and give them 40% because you have management expenses while they don’t.

Again: Do you know someone who’s a meditation master?

Just like before, you provide them with your marketing expertise while they generate content ideas on effective meditation techniques, the why and how, and all the associated benefits.

If you don’t know anyone, you can also find these people through Facebook ads where you offer your marketing services for free and explain the business model.

This model is suitable for those without specific skills and is one of the most innovative and profitable business models today.

You can create a portfolio of initiatives in various niches where you only handle the marketing while others deal with the content creation.
